Perfect Timing!

I got down at the bus stop and walked hurriedly to my office. I was late. Some people were walking holding umbrellas. Some had covered themselves with dupattas. It was after-all a hot summer day. Drenched in sweat, I kept walking further down and reached my destination. I  switched the AC on ,threw myself on the chair and stared at the light beige wall.

It stared back. It spoke too ! And this is what it said…

I smiled. A wide, wicked smile. An idea struck me then. Maybe I should gift my friend a clock for her birthday? No.. Not the boring regular clock but something as quirky as the one in my office.

My search began.

It led to to this beer mug shaped clock. I loved it every bit. The brilliant yellow and the beer concept.Of course, was a tad disappointed that it wasn’t for real. But that’s me. I wasn’t very sure if my friend would like it. So I continued my search.

And I found something amazing !! What a beauty this one was! Made from vinyl records, It took me back to the time when my dad used the gramaphone to play his favourite songs. I fell in love with this one and decided to pick one for myself :P ..That’s the threat you face when you shop for others !!

I decided to explore a little more…My eyes were fixed on this denim clock. Something totally unique. I was pretty sure my friend would like it. Nevertheless I didn’t end my search.

I loved this colourful table clock. It looked classy, Indian and very in. Besides my friend is an auto-rickshaw regular. So, it would be way too perfect for her.

But then, I set my eyes on this cool minimalistic Einstein table clock. The minute I saw it, I knew this one was made for her. Nerd as she is, my friend always had a funny side to her. Besides, blue is her favourite colour.

And this is what the clock read from the other side.

Result : Mission Accomplished. And that too in a click.

By then the sun had set. I started walking back to the bus stop. And this time I saw groups of happy people headed for the beach…. Just as I reached, my bus appeared from nowhere. Perfect timing right? :)
